Publication of new article: Accuracy of Spinal Anesthesia Drug Concentrations in Mixtures Prepared by Anesthetists

We are pleased to announce our latest publication of our group by Dr. Christian Steuer in the journal of patient safety. The work is concerned with medication errors in the area of spinal anaesthesia mixtures of local anaesthetics and the dosing accuracy of drug mixtures used. Concentrations of authentic samples were analysed via HPLC and their interindividual and intraindividual variations were assessed. New member of the group

We welcome Alessandro Streuli to our group! Alessandro will join as new PhD student and will work at the synthesis for new peptidomimetics for infectious diseases in collaboration with the group of Prof. Dr. Klaus Eyer. We wish Alessandro all the best for the new stage of live.
Publication of new article: Easy and convenient millimole-scale synthesis of new, potential biomarkers for gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) intake: Feasible for analytical laboratories

We are glad to present the newest paper of our group by our group leader Christian Steuer together with Justine Raeber and a former master student of our lab. In the publication we present simple procedures for the rapid synthesis and purification of amino acid GHB conjugates as well as their fatty acid esters. The introduced syntheses are feasible to be performed in clinical as well as forensic laboratories and will hopefully help to further improve the detection of GHB as a drug of abuse. Publication of new Review: A story of peptides, lipophilicity and chromatography – back and forth in time

We are very happy to announce the newest publication of our group by Vanessa Erckes and Christian Steuer in the journal of RSC medicinal chemistry. The review gives an overview of the role of chromatography in the peptide drug discovery process to characterize important physicochemical paramters such as lipophilicity.
